Our client in the construction/engineering industry is looking for a Controller to join their team in Alameda County


Job Description:

  • Manage operational and construction budgets
  • Manage variances of budgets and prior months’ costs
  • Oversee regular reporting
  • Assist forecasting, align results and draw insights
  • Prepare new metrics/reports, find trends and discrepancies
  • Assist reconciliations and financial analysis
  • Assist with budgeting
  • Oversee GL and monthly closing process
  • Assist monthly and annual financial statements


  • Experience in the construction industry
  • Strong knowledge of GAAP
  • Proficient with the Microsoft Office Suite, including strong Excel skills
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving and organization skills
  • Excellent verbal, written and interpersonal communication skills
  • Able to communicate complex information to a variety of audiences
  • Able to manage multiple priorities with accuracy and efficiency while meeting deadlines
  • Strong work ethic



  • Bachelor’s degree in finance or related field and a minimum of 5 years’ relevant experience
