Our client in the construction / engineering industry is looking for a Controller to join their team in Alameda County.


Job Description:

  • Oversee budgets and analyze variances against budget and prior months’ costs
  • Design and issue regular reporting
  • Provide proactive analytics and reporting
  • Analyze and develop new metrics/reports
  • Suggest process improvements and assist with the implementation of new systems
  • Manage the general ledger and prepare financial statements
  • Oversee closing process



  • Strong knowledge of GAAP
  • Proficient with the Microsoft Office Suite, including strong Excel skills
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving and organization skills
  • Excellent verbal, written and interpersonal communication skills
  • Able to adapt to changing priorities
  • Detail-oriented



  • Bachelor’s degree in accounting or related field and a minimum of 3 years’ relevant experience
