Our client in the private equity firm industry is looking for a Controller to join their team in Los Angeles County


Job Description:

  • Oversee the preparation of deadline-driven reporting processes
  • Manage the process for delivering quarterly and annual investor reports
  • Oversee the calculation and distribution of investor capital calls and distribution notices
  • Help maintain each fund’s waterfall analysis
  • Assist in portfolio valuation process
  • Responsible for fund and investment performance tracking
  • Respond to investor requests
  • Responsible for revenue budgeting and cash flow forecasting for the management company
  • Oversee audit firm relationships to complete year-end audited financial statements
  • Manage and maintain the firm’s accounting and reporting technologies
  • Analyze complex partnership agreements
  • Manage the activities of the accounting staff
  • Perform other duties as requested or as responsibilities dictate



  • Master degree preferred
  • CPA license
  • Public accounting and private industry experience
  • Proficient with the Microsoft Office Suite, including strong Excel and ERP system skills
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving and organization skills
  • Excellent verbal, written and interpersonal communication skills
  • Able to communicate with professionals at all levels
  • Able to work independently and take initiative
  • Able to adapt to changing priorities
  • Able to manage multiple priorities with accuracy and efficiency while meeting deadlines
  • Detail-oriented
  • A team player
  • Strong work ethic



  • Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance or related field and a minimum of 10 years’ relevant experience
