Cost Accountant

Our client in the financial services industry is looking for a Cost Accountant to join their team in San Fernando Valley


Job Description:

  • Develop standard costs
  • Perform “make/buy” analysis
  • Perform inventory valuation, reconciliation and management
  • Manage annual physical inventory
  • Review and report daily cycle count process
  • Manage inventory, reserve analysis, research and journal entries
  • Assist with annual budget preparation
  • Review performance variances and perform monthly reconciliations
  • Manage monthly journal entries
  • Review and suggest improvements to processes



  • Experience in the manufacturing or related industries
  • Strong knowledge of GAAP
  • Proficient with the Microsoft Office Suite, including strong Excel skills and SAP or Oracle experience
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving and organization skills
  • Excellent verbal, written and interpersonal communication skills
  • Able to work independently and take initiative
  • Detail-oriented
  • A team player
  • Strong work ethic



  • Bachelor’s degree in accounting or related field and a minimum of 5 years’ relevant experience
