Director Accounting – General Ledger

Our client in the service industry is looking for a Director Accounting – General Ledger to join their team in Broomfield

 

Job Description:

  • Oversee the general ledger accounting function
  • Manage a team of accounting professionals, by clearly defining company and departmental goals fostering accountability, and getting results
  • Prepare documentation and analysis to respond to internal and external requests
  • Direct and ensure that the accounting policies and processes, programs, and internal reports are developed, implemented and effectively administered
  • Prepare ad hoc reports
  • Lead accounting integration and transition work related to acquisitions and divestitures
  • Responsible for continued development of these associates

 

Requirements:

  • MBA
  • CPA license
  • Strong knowledge of GAAP
  • Proficient with the Microsoft Office Suite, including strong Excel skills
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving and organization skills
  • Excellent verbal, written and interpersonal communication skills
  • Able to communicate with professionals at all levels
  • Able to be discreet with confidential/sensitive information
  • Able to work independently and take initiative
  • Able to adapt to changing priorities
  • Able to manage multiple priorities with accuracy and efficiency, while meeting deadlines
  • Detail-oriented
  • A team player
  • Strong work ethic

 

Experience:

  • Bachelor’s degree in accounting or related field and a minimum of 10 years’ relevant experience
