Financial Planning & Analysis Manager

Our client in the manufacturing industry is looking for a Financial Planning & Analysis Manager to join their team in the San Fernando Valley.


Job Description:

  • Provide financial leadership to Chief Medical Officer
  • Assist with financial planning and tracking of operating expenses
  • Assist with headcount reporting
  • Assist with monthly close activities, forecasting, annual budgeting and variance analyses
  • Manage spend-tracking and monitor expenses, cash disbursements and accruals
  • Monitor performance of service providers, clinical trial activity and costs
  • Prepare the budget
  • Develop financial planning and control recommendations
  • Prepare monthly/quarterly reports
  • Help support audits and periodic reports
  • Maintain and track expenses recorded on GL
  • Maintain invoices received and/or paid by purchase order



  • MBA preferred
  • CPA preferred
  • Experience in the biotech or related industries
  • Strong knowledge of GAAP
  • Proficient with the Microsoft Office Suite, including strong Excel skills and ERP systems experience
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving and organization skills
  • Excellent verbal, written and interpersonal communication skills
  • Able to work independently and take initiative
  • Able to adapt to changing priorities
  • Able to work on multiple projects with accuracy and efficiency, while keeping to deadlines
  • Detail-oriented
  • A team player
  • Strong work ethic



  • Bachelor’s degree in finance, accounting or related field and a minimum of 7 years’ relevant experience
