Human Resources Generalist

Our client in the construction and engineering industry is looking for a Human Resources Generalist to join their team in San Fernando Valley


Job Description:

  • Help process new hire paperwork, setting up employee number with proper union craft and class
  • Follow up with timekeepers to ensure accuracy; research and resolve discrepancies
  • Perform data entries for weekly payroll processing
  • Assist in sorting, printing and mailing of weekly payroll checks, direct deposit paystubs and employee communications
  • Perform monthly union reports and payment processing


  • Proficient with the Microsoft Office Suite, including strong Excel skills
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving and organization skills
  • Excellent verbal, written and interpersonal communication skills
  • Able to communicate with professionals at all levels
  • Able to be discreet with confidential/sensitive information
  • Able to work independently and take initiative
  • Able to adapt to changing priorities
  • Able to work on multiple projects with accuracy and efficiency, while keeping to deadlines
  • Detail-oriented
  • A team player
  • Strong work ethic



  • Bachelor’s degree in business, human resources or related field and a minimum of 2 years’ relevant experience
