Interim Accounts Payable Specialist (Project)

Our client in the retail industry is looking for an Interim Accounts Payable Specialist to join their team in Orange County

 

Job Description:

  • Responsible for a range of general accounting tasks
  • Perform the processing and recording of accounts payable transactions
  • Help enter vendor invoices and employee reimbursements
  • Review vendor statements and be able to research and resolve any discrepancies
  • Correspond with vendors and respond to inquiries
  • Prepare accounts payable related financial reports
  • Assist in entering employee timecards for payroll processing
  • Assist in purchasing supplies and make payment on purchases
  • Help maintain department’s files
  • Assist Manager with the day-to-day, monthly and year-end operations
  • Assist in general accounts reconciliations
  • Prepare financial reports

Requirements:

  • Proficient with the Microsoft Office Suite, including strong Excel skills
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving and organization skills
  • Excellent verbal, written and interpersonal communication skills
  • Able to communicate with professionals at all levels
  • Able to work independently and take initiative
  • Able to adapt to changing priorities
  • Able to work on multiple projects with accuracy and efficiency, while keeping to deadlines
  • Detail-oriented

  • Strong work ethic

Experience:

  • Bachelor’s degree in finance, business, accounting or related field and a minimum of 1 years’ relevant experience
