Interim Collections Specialist (Project)

Our client in the manufacturing/distribution industry is looking for an Interim Collections Specialist to join their team in Orange County

 

Job Description:

  • Manage account risks and potential credit problems
  • Prepare reports and communicates potential risks to supervisor
  • Manage past due invoices / accounts
  • Manage future pay information
  • Oversee misapplied payments, reversed late charges
  • Manage over payments
  • Maintain documentation
  • Maintain quality relationships with branch, account and sales managers
  • Manage portfolio so collection efforts result in maximum benefits
  • Watch for indicators where customer accounts is falling behind

Requirements:

  • Experience in the financial services, real estate or related industries
  • Proficient with the Microsoft Office Suite, including strong Excel skills
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving and organization skills
  • Excellent verbal, written and interpersonal communication skills
  • Able to work both independently and collaborate as part of a team
  • Able to adapt to changing priorities
  • Detail-oriented
  • Strong work ethic

 

Experience:

  • Bachelor’s degree a plus and a minimum of 2 years’ relevant experience
