Our client in the manufacturing industry is looking for an Interim Collections Specialist to join their team in San Mateo County
Job Description:
- Perform collection calls and correspondence
- Provide customer service regarding collection issues, process customer refunds, process and review
- Responsible for monitoring and maintaining assigned accounts
- Perform other assigned tasks and duties necessary
- Help enlist the efforts of sales and service management when necessary to accelerate the collection process
- Help establish and maintain effective and cooperative working relationships
- Help process monthly credit memos and the appropriate reporting
- Manage customers on the credit hold report
- Help reconcile customer disputes of outstanding balances
Requirements:
- Proficient with the Microsoft Office Suite, including strong Excel and Oracle skills
- Strong analytical, problem-solving and organization skills
- Excellent verbal, written and interpersonal communication skills
- Able to communicate with professionals at all levels
- Able to work independently and take initiative
- Able to adapt to changing priorities
- Able to work on multiple projects with accuracy and efficiency, while keeping to deadlines
- Detail-oriented

- Strong work ethic
Experience:
- Bachelor’s degree preferred and a minimum of 3 years’ relevant experience
