Interim General Ledger Accountant (Project)

Our client in the healthcare industry is looking for an Interim General Ledger Accountant to join their team in Orange County

Job Description:

  • Review and suggest improvements to processes, policies and procedures
  • Collect and report on financial data
  • Manage general ledger month-end close
  • Prepare journal entries
  • Compare actual results to historical trends
  • Prepare balance sheet reconciliations
  • Maintain and monitor SOX controls
  • Assist with audits

 

Requirements:

  • CPA license or eligibility a plus
  • Strong knowledge of GAAP and SOX
  • Proficient with the Microsoft Office Suite, including strong Excel skills
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving and organization skills
  • Excellent verbal, written and interpersonal communication skills
  • Able to communicate with professionals at all levels
  • Able to work on multiple projects with accuracy and efficiency, while keeping to deadlines
  • Detail-oriented
  • Strong work ethic

 

Experience:

  • Bachelor’s degree in accounting or related field and a minimum of 2 years’ relevant experience
