Interim Payroll Manager (Project)

Our client in the healthcare industry is looking for an Interim Payroll Manager to join their team in Orange County.


Job Description:

  • Help maintain payroll system, structure files and tables
  • Manage time and attendance software administration
  • Perform audit checks during every payroll run
  • Assist with management team for bi-weekly payroll
  • Manage employee data, pay rates, accrual rates and deductions
  • Manage bi-weekly payroll
  • Oversee off-cycle checks for terminations and pay adjustments
  • Prepare bi-weekly leave and overtime/late lunch reports
  • Prepares ad hoc analysis of payroll and benefit
  • Prepare monthly payroll accounting like GL entries
  • Prepare annual financial and 401k audit for payroll and benefit
  • Manage paychecks bi-weekly



  • CPP license or eligibility a plus
  • Experience with progressive payroll
  • Proficient with the Microsoft Office Suite, including strong Excel skills
  • Working knowledge of ERP
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving and organization skills (or
  • Excellent verbal, written and interpersonal communication skills
  • Able to communicate complex information to a variety of audiences
  • Able to work both independently and collaborate as part of a team
  • Able to adapt to changing priorities
  • Detail-oriented



  • Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance or related field and a minimum of 5 years’ relevant experience
