Interim Payroll Specialist (Project)

Our client in the consumer products industry is looking for an Interim Payroll Specialist to join their team in Los Angeles County

 

Job Description:

    • Perform payroll department operations
    • Manage workflow to processed accurately
    • Help reconcile payroll prior to transmission and validate confirmed reports
    • Help process correct garnishment calculations
    • Perform compliances for unclaimed property payroll checks
    • Help process accurate and timely year-end reporting
    • Help process manual checks as required, stop payments and adjustments of payroll, calculate bonuses
    • Develop in depth understanding of systems and operational reporting on demand
    • Perform research and email appropriate audience of issues and handle resolution
    • Respond to payroll related employee questions 

 

Requirements:

  • Proficient with the Microsoft Office Suite, including strong Excel skills
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving and organization skills
  • Excellent verbal, written and interpersonal communication skills
  • Able to communicate with professionals at all levels
  • Able to be discreet with confidential/sensitive information
  • Able to work independently and take initiative
  • Able to adapt to changing priorities
  • Able to work on multiple projects with accuracy and efficiency, while keeping to deadlines
  • Detail-oriented
  • A team player
  • Strong work ethic

 

Experience:

  • Bachelor’s degree preferred and a minimum of 5 years’ relevant experience
