Interim Payroll Specialist (Project)

Our client in the service company industry is looking for an Interim Payroll Specialist to join their team in the San Fernando Valley


Job Description:

  • Prepare and process US and Canada payroll on a biweekly basis
  • Manually update employee deductions on a biweekly basis
  • Prepare final checks to audit
  • Assist Human Resources, managers, and employees in regards to employee records
  • Assist Payroll Coordinator with payroll inquires
  • Help update payroll data by manually collecting, calculating, and entering data
  • Audit the timekeeping system for hourly employees
  • Perform extra tasks and projects



  • Payroll certified preferred
  • Proficient with the Microsoft Office Suite, including strong Excel skills
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving and organization skills
  • Excellent verbal, written and interpersonal communication skills
  • Able to communicate with professionals at all levels
  • Able to work independently and take initiative
  • Able to adapt to changing priorities
  • Able to work on multiple projects with accuracy and efficiency, while keeping to deadlines
  • Detail-oriented
  • A team player
  • Strong work ethic



  • Bachelor’s degree preferred and a minimum of 3 years’ relevant experience
