Payroll Manager

Our client in the healthcare industry is looking for a Payroll Manager to join their team in Orange County


Job Description:

  • Perform human resources related functions
  • Assist with development of the department budget and ensures adherence to the budget
  • Manage recurring and ad-hoc payroll projects
  • Analyze multi-state payroll tax data and performs calculations
  • Perform research and respond to escalated and/or complex inquiries
  • Prepare standard and ad hoc reports and reconciles all payroll-related general ledger accounts
  • Perform month-end and year-end close activities
  • Develop and mentor team members



  • CPP license
  • Master’s degree preferred
  • Experience in the healthcare, retail or related industries
  • Strong knowledge of GAAP
  • Proficient with the Microsoft Office Suite, including strong Excel skills
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving and organization skills
  • Excellent verbal, written and interpersonal communication skills
  • Able to communicate with professionals at all levels
  • Able to work independently and take initiative
  • Able to work on multiple projects with accuracy and efficiency, while keeping to deadlines
  • Able to adapt to changing priorities
  • Detail-oriented
  • A team player
  • Strong work ethic



  • Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance or related field and a minimum of 2 years’ relevant experience
