Payroll Manager

Our client in the technology industry is looking for an Payroll Manager to join their team in the San Fernando Valley


Job Description:

  • Review and suggest improvements to policies and procedures
  • Process employee changes and deductions
  • Support processed payrolls, payroll and vacation accruals
  • Help research variances, direct the collection, calculation and entering of data
  • Design and develop reports
  • Oversee the calculation of employee federal/state income and social security taxes, employer’s social security, and workers compensation payments
  • Prepare and initiate tax filings and amendments
  • Perform bi-annual updates
  • Process and distribute W-2s, T-4s
  • Perform wage garnishment reconciliation, disbursement and reporting



  • CPP license
  • Strong knowledge of GAAP
  • Proficient with the Microsoft Office Suite, including strong Excel skills and UltiPro
  • Excellent verbal, written and interpersonal communication skills
  • Able to communicate with professionals at all levels
  • Able to be discreet with confidential/sensitive information
  • Able to work independently and take initiative
  • Able to adapt to changing priorities
  • Able to work on multiple projects with accuracy and efficiency, while keeping to deadlines
  • Detail-oriented
  • A team player
  • Strong work ethic



  • Bachelor’s degree in accounting or related field and a minimum of 5 years’ relevant experience
