Payroll Manager

Our client in the technology industry is looking for a Payroll Manager to join their team in the San Fernando Valley


Job Description:

  • Manage the semi-monthly and monthly payroll
  • Prepare payroll related journal entries and monthly general ledger reconciliations
  • Provide payroll and compensation reporting
  • Prepare and maintain accurate and complete employee records and payroll documentation to support regulatory, legal and audit compliance
  • Perform research complex payroll issues, drawing on expertise from online research tools, the legal and tax departments and external service providers
  • Help maintain and update timekeeping database for multi-state hourly time records
  • Help maintain employee data, handle employee questions and follow-up emails



  • Certified Payroll Professional certification a plus
  • Proficient with the Microsoft Office Suite, including strong Excel and ERP system skills
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving and organization skills
  • Excellent verbal, written and interpersonal communication skills
  • Able to communicate complex information to a variety of audiences
  • Able to be discreet with confidential/sensitive information
  • Able to work on multiple projects with accuracy and efficiency, while keeping to deadlines
  • Able to adapt to changing priorities
  • Detail-oriented
  • Strong work ethic



  • Bachelor’s degree in accounting or related field and a minimum of 5 years’ relevant experience
