Payroll Manager

Our client in the service company industry is looking for a Payroll Manager to join their team in the San Fernando Valley

 

Job Description:

  • Oversee and supervise the organization’s payroll functions, ensuring payroll is processed on time, accurately, and in compliance with government regulations
  • Help implements, maintains, and reviews payroll processing systems
  • Prepare and maintain accurate records and reports of payroll transactions
  • Facilitate audits by providing records and documentation to auditors
  • Identify and recommend updates to payroll processing software, systems, and procedures
  • Prepare department policies and procedures in both written and visual workflow
  • Help maintain payroll guidelines by writing and updating policies and procedures
  • Prepare and review payroll staff desk and work methods
  • Assist with Human Resources and accounting teams
  • Prepare reports by compiling summaries of earnings, taxes, deductions, leave, disability, and nontaxable wages

 

Requirements:

  • Proficient with the Microsoft Office Suite, including strong Excel skills
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving and organization skills
  • Excellent verbal, written and interpersonal communication skills
  • Able to communicate with professionals at all levels
  • Able to be discreet with confidential/sensitive information
  • Able to work independently and take initiative
  • Able to adapt to changing priorities
  • Able to manage multiple priorities with accuracy and efficiency while meeting deadlines
  • Detail-oriented
  • A team player
  • Strong work ethic

 

Experience:

  • Bachelor’s degree in accounting, business administration, human resources or related field and a minimum of 5 years’ relevant experience
