Payroll Officer

Our client in the service company industry is looking for a Payroll Officer to join their team in Orange County


Job Description:

  • Perform payroll process
  • Assist with, and monitors entry and approval of payroll data
  • Prepare and review new hire data
  • Prepare, review, and distribute deduction
  • Prepare and process retroactive pay adjustments
  • Help establish and maintain organized, employee payroll files
  • Reconcile monthly benefit invoices and work with Finance
  • Perform bi-weekly 401K reports



  • Experience in the financial services, banking or related industries
  • Proficient with the Microsoft Office Suite, including strong Excel and ADP payroll processing skills
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving and organization skills
  • Excellent verbal, written and interpersonal communication skills
  • Able to communicate with professionals at all levels
  • Able to be discreet with confidential/sensitive information
  • Able to work independently and take initiative
  • Able to work on multiple projects with accuracy and efficiency, while keeping to deadlines
  • Able to adapt to changing priorities
  • Detail-oriented
  • A team player
  • Strong work ethic



  • Bachelor’s degree in accounting, business, finance or related field and a minimum of 5 years’ relevant experience
