Payroll Specialist

Our client in the consumer products industry is looking for a Payroll Specialist to join their team in San Fernando Valley


Job Description:

  • Oversee employee time records
  • Prepare payroll, GL and month-end reports
  • Assist balancing payroll
  • Prepare final checks for terminating employees
  • Manage subpoenas, wage assignments and unemployment benefit audits
  • Prepare quarterly files and annual files
  • Prepare all year end reports
  • Manage workers compensation records


  • Fundamental Payroll Certification (FPC) or Certified Payroll Professional (CPP) certification a plus
  • Proficient with the Microsoft Office Suite, including strong Excel skills
  • Working knowledge of ERP
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving and organization skills
  • Excellent verbal, written and interpersonal communication skills
  • Able to communicate with professionals at all levels
  • Able to be discreet with confidential/sensitive information
  • Able to adapt to changing priorities
  • A team player



  • Bachelor’s degree in accounting, business or related field and a minimum of 5 years’ relevant experience
