Payroll Tax Analyst

Our client in the investment industry is looking for a Payroll Tax Analyst to join their team in Los Angeles County


Job Description:

  • Prepare, review and analyze payroll and resolve discrepancies
  • Prepare periodic audits of employee and location tax codes to ensure proper taxation
  • Perform reconciliations of post-payroll data for semi-monthly and monthly payrolls
  • Prepare and file payroll tax returns
  • Prepare data for Workman’s Comp Audit, Multi-Site Reports, and data requests
  • Help process prior quarter reversals and adjustments
  • Assist internal and external audits



  • CPP certification is preferred
  • Strong knowledge of GAAP
  • Proficient with the Microsoft Office Suite, including strong Excel skills and Ultipro and Cognos
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving and organization skills
  • Excellent verbal, written and interpersonal communication skills
  • Able to communicate complex information to a variety of audiences
  • Able to be discreet with confidential/sensitive information
  • Able to work independently and take initiative
  • Able to work on multiple projects with accuracy and efficiency, while keeping to deadlines
  • Able to adapt to changing priorities
  • Detail-oriented

  • Strong work ethic



  • Bachelor’s degree and a minimum of 3 years’ relevant experience
