Payroll Tax Analyst

Our client in the service companies industry is looking for a Payroll Tax Analyst to join their team in the San Fernando Valley


Job Description:

  • Help review calculations of periodic/payroll tax estimates and payments
  • Prepare weekly review of tax balancing reports and review for federal, state and local payroll amounts
  • Prepare Tax returns not filed
  • Responsible for Local Codes for employee and contract application of tax deductions
  • Assist the Payroll team to process taxes and employee paychecks
  • Perform tax research and gather documentation
  • Prepare weekly employee adjustment entries
  • Respond to payroll tax related questions and resolve payroll tax issues Company wide
  • Responsible for the year end balancing of internal records
  • Responsible for the year end balancing of W-2’s, W-2Cs’ and related Federal and State agency forms
  • Prepare W-2 Corrections and processing


  • CPP designation preferred
  • Proficient with the Microsoft Office Suite, including strong Excel skills
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving and organization skills
  • Excellent verbal, written and interpersonal communication skills
  • Able to communicate with professionals at all levels
  • Able to be discreet with confidential/sensitive information
  • Able to work independently and take initiative
  • Able to adapt to changing priorities
  • Able to work on multiple projects with accuracy and efficiency, while keeping to deadlines
  • Detail-oriented

  • Strong work ethic



  • Bachelor’s degree in accounting or related field and a minimum of 4 years’ relevant experience
