Senior Fund Accountant

Our client in the investment industry is looking for a Senior Fund Accountant to join their team in the Los Angeles County


Job Description:

  • Prepare and maintain books and records of private investment funds
  • Perform reconciliation of cash, investments and real property
  • Help calculate of income and expense allocations and update of distribution waterfall
  • Prepare and determine distributions and drawdowns
  • Prepare monthly, quarterly and annual financial reports
  • Analyze and calculate performance metrics
  • Manage the annual financial statement audits and SOX/SOC-1 testing process
  • Review and suggest improvements to processes
  • Serve as a liaison to communicate fund data and questions



  • CPA a plus
  • Public accounting experience
  • Strong knowledge of GAAP
  • Proficient with the Microsoft Office Suite, including strong Excel skills
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving and organization skills
  • Excellent verbal, written and interpersonal communication skills
  • Able to be discreet with confidential/sensitive information
  • Able to work independently and take initiative
  • Able to adapt to changing priorities
  • Able to work on multiple projects with accuracy and efficiency, while keeping to deadlines
  • Detail-oriented
  • A team player
  • Strong work ethic



  • Bachelor’s degree in finance, accounting or related field and a minimum of 2 years’ relevant experience
