SOX Manager

Our client in the real estate industry is looking for a Controller to join their team in the Los Angeles County.


Job Description:

  • Perform testing to verify effectiveness of established processes and procedures
  • Review, suggest and implement improvements to processes, policies and procedures
  • Perform audits to understand and document processes and procedures
  • Prepare detailed reports with recommendations to management
  • Review workpapers and finalize report drafts
  • Participate in developing SOX Plan
  • Design SOX programs that adequately address risk and compliance
  • Performs other duties as assigned



  • CPA, CIA, or CISA a plus
  • Strong knowledge of GAAP and SOX
  • Proficient with the Microsoft Office Suite, including strong Excel skills
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving and organization skills
  • Excellent verbal, written and interpersonal communication skills
  • Able to communicate with professionals at all levels
  • Able to adapt to changing priorities
  • Able to work on multiple projects with accuracy and efficiency, while keeping to deadlines
  • Detail-oriented
  • Strong work ethic



  • Bachelor’s degree in business, accounting, finance or related field and a minimum of 8 years’ relevant experience
