Chief Financial Officer


Our client in the non-profit industry is looking for a Chief Financial Officer to join their team in the Los Angeles County.

 

Job Description:

  • Help prepare and review SEC filings
  • Assist with investor reporting
  • Assist with the quarterly review and year-end audit
  • Review and submit fund-level expenses
  • Perform analytics and fluctuation analyses
  • Assist with SOX compliance
  • Research technical accounting and financial reporting matters
  • Prepare distribution calculations and notices
  • Help identify and record fund-level accruals and journal entries
  • Perform month-end bank reconciliations
  • Prepare intercompany elimination entries
  • Prepare lender reporting packages

 

Requirements:

  • MBA or CPA is preferred
  • Big 4/public accounting experience is preferred
  • Real estate/private equity experience
  • Strong knowledge of GAAP, SOX and SEC Reporting
  • Proficient with the Microsoft Office Suite, including strong Excel skills
  • Working knowledge of ERP systems
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving and organization skills
  • Excellent verbal, written and interpersonal communication skills
  • Able to work on multiple projects with accuracy and efficiency, while keeping to deadlines
  • Able to adapt to changing priorities
  • Detail, deadline and goal-oriented
  • Strong work ethic

 

Experience:

  • Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, or related field and a minimum of 10 years’ relevant experience
