Our client in the nonprofit industry is looking for a Director of Finance and Operations to join their team in Los Angeles County.
Job Description:
- Manage and maintain office equipment and supplies in a cost-effective manner
- Oversee recruitment of new staff
- Assist contractors and vendors
- On-board new staff and board members
- Manage logistics for Board meetings;
- Help process and oversee payroll and disbursements
- Implement and ensure the accuracy of accounts payable, invoicing/billing, collections, fixed asset records, general & entity accounting, and cost accounting
- Assist with contract and revenue tracking to ensure revenue booked in proper periods
- Prepare and examine contract documents
- Develop and manage effective working relationships with foundation
- Assist with preparation of annual organizational budget, track and manage the budget
- Produce monthly and annual financial reports
- Manage the annual audit
Requirements:
- Masters degree preferred
- Proficient with the Microsoft Office Suite, including strong Excel and QuickBooks skills
- Strong analytical, problem-solving and organization skills
- Excellent verbal, written and interpersonal communication skills
- Able to communicate complex information to a variety of audiences
- Able to be discreet with confidential/sensitive information
- Able to work independently and take initiative
- Able to manage multiple priorities with accuracy and efficiency while meeting deadlines
- Able to adapt to changing priorities

Experience:
- Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, business or related field and a minimum of 5 years’ relevant experience
