Interim Accounts Payable Manager (Project)

Our client in the retail industry is looking for an Interim Accounts Payable Manager to join their team in the San Fernando Valley

 

Job Description:

  • Manage Accounts Payable team and processing invoices
  • Oversee staffing organization
  • Assist staff to solve invoice problems with vendors or internal customers
  • Help reconcile vendor accounts, identify issues and resolve discrepancies
  • Perform 3 way match on Inventory Invoices
  • Develop, track and monitor key performance indicators
  • Perform and identify areas for process improvements, implement controls, determine potential options and benefit/risk analysis
  • Review, implement and ensure compliance with policies and procedures
  • Analyze and accrue invoices for period-end close

 

Requirements:

  • Strong knowledge of GAAP
  • Proficient with the Microsoft Office Suite, including strong Excel and ERP system skills
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving and organization skills
  • Excellent verbal, written and interpersonal communication skills
  • Able to communicate complex information to a variety of audiences
  • Able to be discreet with confidential/sensitive information
  • Able to work independently and take initiative
  • Able to manage multiple priorities with accuracy and efficiency while meeting deadlines
  • Able to adapt to changing priorities

  • Strong work ethic

 

Experience:

  • Bachelor’s degree in accounting or related field and a minimum of 2 years’ relevant experience
