Our client in the financial services industry is looking for a Risk Manager to join their team in Los Angeles County.
Job Description:
- Help implement and maintain an operational risk management program
- Produce risk management reports
- Assist managers to identify, design, document and implement appropriate controls and process maps
- Oversee audit
- Assist in development of management responses and tracks outstanding items
- Review and suggest development of new or modified products and new operational processes and procedures
- Assist managers on various bank committees, councils and task forces
- Perform research, analyze and provide guidance to management teams on regulatory and industry operational developments
- Develop project plans, periodic update reports and maintain detailed task lists
- Assist in analyzing risk metrics and performance data gathered
Requirements:
- Proficient with the Microsoft Office Suite, including strong Excel skills
- Strong analytical, problem-solving and organization skills
- Excellent verbal, written and interpersonal communication skills
- Able to communicate complex information to a variety of audiences
- Able to work independently and take initiative
- Able to manage multiple priorities with accuracy and efficiency while meeting deadlines
- Able to adapt to changing priorities
- Detail-oriented
- Strong work ethic
Experience:
- Bachelor’s degree and a minimum of 5 years’ relevant experience
