Interim Payroll Specialist (Project)

Our client in the service company industry is looking for an Interim Payroll Specialist to join their team in Los Angeles County

 

Job Description:

  • Process bi-weekly/semi-monthly payrolls
  • Review wages computed and audit timekeeping records
  • Review & verify vacation, sick, floating holiday and holiday hour balances
  • Process child support, wage garnishments, terminations, unemployment inquiries and verifications of employment
  • Responsible for printing and shipping manual checks and obtaining signatures
  • Process employee status changes, pay and/or title changes, location changes and leave status
  • Review and suggest improvements to processes and procedures

 

Requirements:

  • Proficient with the Microsoft Office Suite, including strong Excel skills and ADP Workforce Now experience
  • Excellent verbal, written and interpersonal communication skills
  • Able to be discreet with confidential/sensitive information
  • Able to work independently and take initiative
  • Able to adapt to changing priorities
  • Detail-oriented
  • A team player
  • Strong work ethic

 

Experience:

  • Bachelor’s degree a plus and a minimum of 5 years’ relevant experience
