Interim Payroll Tax Specialist (Project)

Our client in the pharmaceutical industry is looking for an Interim Payroll Tax Specialist to join their team in Los Angeles County

 

Job Description:

  • Manage customer inquiry coverage calendar
  • Perform research, analyze and resolve payroll related inquiries, problems and general questions
  • Responsible for the collection and balancing of time data
  • Maintain strong partnership with Human Resources and IT
  • Help process biweekly, monthly, bonus, and quarter-end adjustment or out-of-sequence payrolls
  • Produce financial, tax and payroll reports for both internal and external purpose
  • Prepare and deliver all necessary processes and documents
  • Responsible for the coordination of all payroll tax activities
  • Perform research and resolve payroll tax notices and assist with inquires
  • Manage all incoming mail and coordinates

 

Requirements:

  • CPP accreditation preferred
  • Experience in payroll and tax
  • Proficient with the Microsoft Office Suite, including strong Excel skills and Kronos
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving and organization skills
  • Excellent verbal, written and interpersonal communication skills
  • Able to communicate with professionals at all levels
  • Able to be discreet with confidential/sensitive information
  • Able to work both independently and collaborate as part of a team
  • Able to work on multiple projects with accuracy and efficiency, while keeping to deadlines
  • Able to adapt to changing priorities
  • Detail-oriented
  • Strong work ethic

 

Experience:

  • Bachelor’s degree preferred and a minimum of 7 years’ relevant experience
