Operations Analyst

Our client in the financial services industry is looking for an Operations Analyst to join their team in Los Angeles County.

 

Job Description:

  • Perform ongoing reconciliation and surveillance of structured portfolio positions
  • Help ensure holdings, accruals and paydowns are processed accurately and timely
  • Help extract relevant data points for loan setup and maintenance of waterfall activity
  • Manage the trade settlement process
  • Ensure accuracy of trade booking and processing
  • Monitor trade issues and fails
  • Review cash and position reconciliations
  • Monitor cash reconciliations for any cash reconciling items
  • Respond to any cash and position related inquiries
  • Prepare ad hoc reports as requested

 

Requirements:

  • Structured products background preferred
  • Proficient with the Microsoft Office Suite, including strong Excel skills
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving and organization skills
  • Excellent verbal, written and interpersonal communication skills
  • Able to communicate with professionals at all levels
  • Able to manage multiple priorities with accuracy and efficiency while meeting deadlines
  • Detail-oriented
  • Strong work ethic

 

Experience:

  • Bachelor’s degree in business, accounting, finance or related field and a minimum of 4 years’ relevant experience
