Accounting Manager

Our client in the retail industry is looking for a Accounting Manager to join their team in Los Angeles County.

 

Job Description:

  • Maintain a documented system of policies and procedures
  • Manage the financial reporting calendar
  • Oversee accounting department
  • Perform reconciliations
  • Assist with Payroll and Benefits Accounting
  • Prepare AP checks
  • Prepare GL journal entries
  • Assist with audits
  • File property and sales taxes
  • Multi Location Sales taxes
  • Prepare financial statements
  • Manage month-end close process
  • Help prepare annual budget
  • Complete monthly variance analysis

 

Requirements:

  • CPA and/or MBA a plus
  • Proficient with the Microsoft Office Suite, including strong Excel skills
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving and organization skills
  • Excellent verbal, written and interpersonal communication skills
  • Able to be discreet with confidential/sensitive information
  • Able to work both independently and collaborate as part of a team
  • Able to work on multiple projects with accuracy and efficiency, while keeping to deadlines
  • Detail-oriented
  • A team player
  • Strong work ethic

 

Experience:

  • Bachelor’s degree in business, accounting or related field and a minimum of 5 years’ relevant experience
