Our client in the real estate industry is looking for an Interim Assistant Controller to join their team in Los Angeles County.
Job Description:
- Manage fixed asset accounting records
- Record investment transactions
- Assist with cash management process
- Perform reconciliations
- Calculate and record amortizations
- Assist with close process
- Review and suggest improvements to processes, policies and procedures
- Assist with schedules for month end financial statement packages
- Maintain Equity and Capital roll forward schedules
- Assist with audits
- Assist with special projects as assigned
Requirements:
- Public/Big 4 accounting experience
- Strong knowledge of GAAP
- Working knowledge of SOX and SEC requirements
- Proficient with the Microsoft Office Suite, including strong Excel skills
- Strong analytical, problem-solving and organization skills
- Excellent verbal, written and interpersonal communication skills
- Able to work on multiple projects with accuracy and efficiency, while keeping to deadlines
- Detail-oriented
- A team player
- Strong work ethic
Experience:
- Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance or related field and a minimum of 2 years’ relevant experience
