Accounting Manager

Our client in the consumer products industry is looking for a Accounting Manager to join their team in Alameda County

 

Job Description:

  • Manage the process on a monthly, quarterly, and annual basis
  • Assist with monthly variance analysis, preparation and review of journal entries
  • Assist with general ledger, financial accounting, and various other corporate accounting tasks
  • Prepare and complete financial statements
  • Assist in managing the quarterly reviews and annual audit
  • Prepare and review of audit schedules
  • Assist with the monthly variance analysis of financial results
  • Prepare recurring quarterly and annual goodwill and intangible impairment analysis
  • Assist with analysis of stock based compensation and equity administration reports
  • Manage the accounting and analysis of corporate consolidations
  • Assist managing the auditors and tax accountants
  • Assist with internal financial reporting
  • Prepare reports and presentations committee meetings

Requirements:

  • CPA license
  • Public/Big 4 accounting experience
  • Strong knowledge of GAAP
  • Proficient with the Microsoft Office Suite, including strong Excel and ERP systems skills
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving and organization skills
  • Excellent verbal, written and interpersonal communication skills
  • Able to communicate with professionals at all levels
  • Able to work independently and take initiative
  • Able to manage multiple priorities with accuracy and efficiency while meeting deadlines
  • Able to adapt to changing priorities
  • Detail-oriented
  • A team player
  • Strong work ethic

 

Experience:

  • Bachelor’s degree in business, accounting or related field and a minimum of 4 years’ relevant experience
