Our client in the consumer products industry is looking for a Accounting Manager to join their team in Alameda County
Job Description:
- Manage the process on a monthly, quarterly, and annual basis
- Assist with monthly variance analysis, preparation and review of journal entries
- Assist with general ledger, financial accounting, and various other corporate accounting tasks
- Prepare and complete financial statements
- Assist in managing the quarterly reviews and annual audit
- Prepare and review of audit schedules
- Assist with the monthly variance analysis of financial results
- Prepare recurring quarterly and annual goodwill and intangible impairment analysis
- Assist with analysis of stock based compensation and equity administration reports
- Manage the accounting and analysis of corporate consolidations
- Assist managing the auditors and tax accountants
- Assist with internal financial reporting
- Prepare reports and presentations committee meetings
Requirements:
- CPA license
- Public/Big 4 accounting experience
- Strong knowledge of GAAP
- Proficient with the Microsoft Office Suite, including strong Excel and ERP systems skills
- Strong analytical, problem-solving and organization skills
- Excellent verbal, written and interpersonal communication skills
- Able to communicate with professionals at all levels
- Able to work independently and take initiative
- Able to manage multiple priorities with accuracy and efficiency while meeting deadlines
- Able to adapt to changing priorities
- Detail-oriented
- A team player
- Strong work ethic
Experience:
- Bachelor’s degree in business, accounting or related field and a minimum of 4 years’ relevant experience
