Senior Accountant

Our client in the public accounting industry is looking for a Senior Accountant to join their team in the Oakland area

 

Job Description:

  • Evaluate and train staff accountants
  • Help set and manage client expectations
  • Identify opportunities for improved performance
  • Prepare and review all checklists and work programs
  • Assist with audits
  • Prepare working papers and financial statements
  • Prepare management comment letters
  • Assist with tax planning for individuals and business entities
  • Prepare tax returns

 

Requirements:

  • CPA license
  • Proficient with the Microsoft Office Suite, including strong Excel skills
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving and organization skills
  • Excellent verbal, written and interpersonal communication skills
  • Able to communicate with professionals at all levels
  • Able to be discreet with confidential/sensitive information
  • Able to work on multiple projects with accuracy and efficiency, while keeping to deadlines
  • Detail-oriented
  • A team player
  • Strong work ethic

 

Experience:

  • Bachelor’s degree in accounting or related field and a minimum of 3 years’ relevant experience
