Vice President of Payroll

Our client in the public accounting – CPA firm industry is looking for a Vice President of Payroll to join their team in the Los Angeles County.

 

Job Description:

  • Oversee payroll processing
  • Review and implement improvements to processes, policies and procedures
  • Develop and implement best practices, KPI’s and service level agreement metrics
  • Help review cross-departmental impacts, address payroll system needs and reconcile data
  • Assist with deductions for taxes, wage garnishment, health and life insurance, flexible spending accounts and 401k investments
  • Analyze complex transactions, identify issues and causes, assess risks and implement plans
  • Manage the payroll team
  • Help establish priorities, goals, and deliverables
  • Serve as a liaison for payroll administration

 

Requirements:

  • CPP preferred
  • Proficient with the Microsoft Office Suite, including strong Excel skills and Workday Payroll and Dayforce Time & Attendance preferred
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving and organization skills
  • Excellent verbal, written and interpersonal communication skills
  • Able to communicate with professionals at all levels
  • Able to be discreet with confidential/sensitive information
  • Detail, deadline and goal-oriented
  • A team player
  • Strong work ethic

 

Experience:

  • Bachelor’s degree in finance, accounting, business or related field and a minimum of 10 years’ relevant experience
