Operations Controller

Our client in the real estate industry is looking for a Operations Controller to join their team in the Los Angeles County.

 

Job Description:

  • Oversee reporting of revenue and expenses and balance sheet
  • Oversee, review and approve accounting functions
  • Assist with process improvement implementation
  • Oversee lease administration, CAM and project accounting processes
  • Review and approve monthly/quarterly reporting packages
  • Help prepare property level budgets
  • Review quarterly balance sheet reconciliation and variance analysis
  • Assist with new property integration

 

Requirements:

  • MBA a plus
  • Public accounting experience
  • Experience in the real estate or related industries
  • Strong knowledge of GAAP
  • Proficient with the Microsoft Office Suite, including strong Excel skills MRI experience preferred
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving and organization skills
  • Excellent verbal, written and interpersonal communication skills
  • Able to communicate with professionals at all levels
  • Able to adapt to changing priorities
  • Able to work on multiple projects with accuracy and efficiency, while keeping to deadlines
  • Detail-oriented
  • A team player
  • Strong work ethic

 

Experience:

  • Bachelor’s degree in accounting, business or related field and a minimum of 10 years’ relevant experience
