Accounting Manager

Our client in the financial services industry is looking for an Accounting Manager to join their team in the Los Angeles County.

 

Job Description:

  • Prepare and maintain the books and records
  • Manage accounting for and reconciliation of cash, investments and real property
  • Responsible for calculating income and expense allocations
  • Prepare distributions and drawdowns
  • Prepare monthly/quarterly/annual financial reports
  • Help analyze and calculate performance metrics
  • Review and implement improvements to policies
  • Assist with coordination of SOX and SOC-1 control testing
  • Serve as a point of contact regarding closed-end fund accounting
  • Assist with financial statement audit coordination

 

Requirements:

  • CPA a plus
  • Public accounting experience
  • Strong knowledge of GAAP
  • Proficient with the Microsoft Office Suite, including strong Excel skills
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving and organization skills
  • Excellent verbal, written and interpersonal communication skills
  • Able to work independently and take initiative
  • Able to adapt to changing priorities
  • Able to work on multiple projects with accuracy and efficiency, while keeping to deadlines
  • Detail-oriented
  • A team player
  • Strong work ethic

 

Experience:

  • Bachelor’s degree in finance, accounting or related field and a minimum of 5 years’ relevant experience
