Our client in the nonprofit industry is looking for an Interim Accounting Supervisor to join their team in the Los Angeles County
Job Description:
- Oversee month-end close activities
- Post monthly journal entries
- Manage accounting and finance computer software and operations
- Prepare monthly budget-to-actual variance report
- Prepare monthly investment roll forward and investment journal entry
- Prepare monthly balance sheet and income statement account reconciliations
- Provide supervision, training and evaluations to staff
- Oversee and release electronic fund transfers, wires and check payments
- Prepare audit schedules
- Prepare and file quarterly federal cash schedule
- Prepares and withdraw federal cash funds
- Review and suggest improvements to processes and procedures
- Prepare and review monthly cost allocations
- Provide trainings to staff
- Serve as a liaison
- Manage petty cash internal audits
Requirements:
- MBA preferred
- CPA preferred
- Strong knowledge of GAAP
- Proficient with the Microsoft Office Suite, including strong Excel skills
- Strong analytical, problem-solving and organization skills
- Excellent verbal, written and interpersonal communication skills
- Able to be discreet with confidential/sensitive information
- Able to work independently and take initiative
- Detail and deadline-oriented
- A team player
- Strong work ethic
Experience:
- Bachelor’s degree in accounting or related field and a minimum of 5 years’ relevant experience
