Accounting & Operations Manager

Our client in the non profit industry is looking for an Accounting & Operations Manager to join their team in Alameda County.

 

Job Description:

  • Oversee, mentor and develop team
  • Manage and ensure closing of month-end books
  • Review and suggest improvements to processes and procedures
  • Develop and disseminate documentation and workflow charts
  • Responsible for monthly closes, journal entries and year-end audit preparation
  • Provide guidance and training to schools
  • Oversee development and maintenance of state-specific accounting knowledge base

 

Requirements:

  • CPA license
  • Experience in the non profit or related industries
  • Strong knowledge of GAAP
  • Proficient with the Microsoft Office Suite, including strong Excel skills
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving and organization skills
  • Excellent verbal, written and interpersonal communication skills
  • Able to work independently and take initiative
  • Detail, deadline and goal-oriented
  • A team player
  • Strong work ethic

 

Experience:

  • Bachelor’s degree in accounting or related field and a minimum of 7 years’ relevant experience
