Accounting Manager

Our client in the manufacturing/distribution industry is looking for an Accounting Manager to join their team in Ventura County

 

Job Description:

  • Assist with payroll process preparation
  • Assist with monthly closing, financial reporting and analysis
  • Prepare monthly analytical reports
  • Help analyze budget vs actual performance and detail account reconciliations
  • Develop forecasts and annual plan
  • Assist with financial data preparation
  • Oversee operational activities
  • Manage audit, tax, and compliance submissions
  • Oversee sales and property tax returns
  • Responsible for training finance members
  • Assist with systems implementation

 

Requirements:

  • CPA a plus
  • Experience in the manufacturing or related industries
  • Strong knowledge of GAAP
  • Proficient with the Microsoft Office Suite, including strong Excel skills and ERP systems experience
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving and organization skills
  • Excellent verbal, written and interpersonal communication skills
  • Able to communicate with professionals at all levels
  • Able to work both independently and collaborate as part of a team
  • Able to work on multiple projects with accuracy and efficiency, while keeping to deadlines
  • Detail-oriented
  • A team player
  • Strong work ethic

 

Experience:

  • Bachelor’s degree in finance, accounting or related field and a minimum of 7 years’ relevant experience
