Accounting & Payroll Specialist

Our client in the construction and engineering industry is looking for an Accounting & Payroll Specialist to join their team in Alameda County

 

Job Description:

  • Prepare bank reconciliations for
  • Prepare month end journal entries
  • Prepare reports for
  • File, scan and organize documents
  • Assist with compiling documentation for audits
  • Assist with monthly WIP process
  • Assist HR/Payroll Manager with data entry for payroll
  • Submit all certified payroll / keep up-to-date
  • Set-up and monitor subcontractors for Certified Payroll
  • Distribute paychecks
  • Reconcile receipts and reimbursements
  • Organize signed timesheets for hourly employees
  • Prepare and mail pre-liens
  • File and organize budget folders/binders
  • Prepare, file and update contract billing summaries
  • Scan, copy and mail change orders to appropriate general contractor customers

 

Requirements:

  • Proficient with the Microsoft Office Suite, including strong Excel skills
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving and organization skills
  • Excellent verbal, written and interpersonal communication skills
  • Able to communicate with professionals at all levels
  • Able to work independently and take initiative
  • Able to work on multiple projects with accuracy and efficiency, while keeping to deadlines
  • Able to adapt to changing priorities

Experience:

  • Bachelor’s degree in accounting or related field and a minimum of 2 years’ relevant experience
