Accounting Manager

Our client in the nonprofit industry is looking for an Accounting Manager to join their team in Contra Costa County


Job Description:

  • Develop and implement accounting goals, objectives, processes and procedures;
  • Manage, organize, and evaluate the work of subordinate staff
  • Prepare fiscal reports and records for finance staff and outside agencies
  • Assist in internal and external audits
  • Prepare, present, and analyze complex report and utilize financial system



  • Masters degree preferred
  • CPA or CMT license
  • Proficient with the Microsoft Office Suite, including strong Excel skills
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving and organization skills
  • Excellent verbal, written and interpersonal communication skills
  • Able to communicate with professionals at all levels
  • Able to work independently and take initiative
  • Able to work on multiple projects with accuracy and efficiency, while keeping to deadlines
  • Able to adapt to changing priorities
  • Detail-oriented
  • A team player
  • Strong work ethic



  • Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance or related field and a minimum of 5 years’ relevant experience
