Bookkeeper

Our client in the construction / engineering industry is looking for a Bookkeeper to join their team in Los Angeles County.

 

Job Description:

  • Ensure that accounts payable are paid in a timely manner and accounts receivable are collected
  • Process payroll
  • Maintain the chart of accounts and an orderly accounting filing system
  • Maintain a system of controls over accounting transactions
  • Issue timely and complete financial statements
  • Prepare corporate annual report
  • Manage the production of the annual budget and forecasts
  • Calculate variances from the budget and report issues
  • Monitor debt levels and compliance with debt covenants

 

Requirements:

  • Proficient with the Microsoft Office Suite, including strong Excel skills
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving and organization skills
  • Excellent verbal, written and interpersonal communication skills
  • Able to adapt to changing priorities
  • Detail-oriented
  • Strong work ethic

 

Experience:

  • Bachelor’s degree in accounting or related field and a minimum of 5 years’ relevant experience
