Interim Accounts Payable Specialist (Project)

Our client in the legal services industry is looking for an Interim Accounts Payable Specialist to join their team in Orange County

 

Job Description:

  • Prepare and review all invoices for appropriate documentation and approval prior to payment
  • Respond to vendor inquiries
  • Maintain accounts payable reports, spreadsheets and accounts payable files
  • Assemble and process overnight shipments to branches
  • Prepare reconciliations of vendor statements
  • Perform filing, scanning and copying
  • Assist with the annual 1099 process
  • Help reconcile processed work by verifying entries and comparing system reports to balances
  • Prepare annual files for off-site storage

Requirements:

  • Proficient with the Microsoft Office Suite, including strong Excel skills
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving and organization skills
  • Excellent verbal, written and interpersonal communication skills
  • Able to communicate with professionals at all levels
  • Able to be discreet with confidential/sensitive information
  • Able to work independently and take initiative
  • Able to adapt to changing priorities
  • Able to work on multiple projects with accuracy and efficiency, while keeping to deadlines

Experience:

  • Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance or related field and a minimum of 5 years’ relevant experience
